De Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) werd in het leven geroepen in 1996 om zo Azië en Europa dichter bij elkaar brengen. The Asia-Europe Meeting: Contributing to a New Global Governance Architecture richt zich op de discussies en de resultaten van de achtste ASEM-top, die plaatsvond in oktober 2010 in Brussel. Het boek geeft een goed beeld van de overeenkomsten en verschillen tussen Azië en Europa, en helpt te begrijpen hoe problemen kunnen worden aangepakt door middel van interregionale politieke dialoog.
