Anhand ausgewählter übersetzter Dokumente wird das Verhältnis zwischen der Besatzungsmacht und den Traditionen und Institutionen des entstehenden Staates der DDR verdeutlicht. Dieses erste Ergebnis deutsch-russischer Kooperation in der Erforschung der Geschichte der SMAD wurde durch die kürzliche Freigabe der Originalquellen in russischen Archiven ermöglicht This edition provides an introduction to the wide range of policies applied in the Soviet Occupation Zone (SBZ) with respect to the areas of culture, education and science.
